KUALA LUMPUR: The Dewan Rakyat sitting today will focus on Malaysia’s economic growth performance for 2025 and the nation’s non-aligned foreign policy stance.
According to the Order Paper, Datuk Seri Hasni Mohammad will ask the Prime Minister to explain factors behind the 2025 growth, expected to exceed the 4% to 4.8% projection.
This follows a preliminary estimate of 5.7% growth for the fourth quarter of 2025.

Ahmad Tarmizi Sulaiman will question whether existing laws need amending to maintain Malaysia’s non-aligned stance amid current geopolitical developments.
During the oral question session, Khoo Poay Tiong will ask the Digital Minister to explain how proposed AI laws address legal issues like intent and accountability.
Datuk Mohd Isam Mohd Isa will inquire about patriotism levels among Generation Z and the National Unity Ministry’s strategy to foster it.
Zulkifli Ismail will ask the Prime Minister to state firm government action against divorce coach services feared to normalise divorce.
After the question session, the sitting will continue with the tabling of the motion of thanks for the Royal Address.
