Malaysia and Saudi Arabia to sign defence cooperation pact

Malaysia and Saudi Arabia are set to sign a defence cooperation agreement during a ministerial visit, with several industry MoUs also expected

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia and Saudi Arabia are set to sign a defence cooperation agreement during a working visit by Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin.

The visit to the kingdom begins today and will include a bilateral meeting with Saudi Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman Al Saud.

Mohamed Khaled said several memoranda of understanding involving Malaysian defence industry companies are also expected to be signed.

He announced the plans in a Facebook post ahead of his departure.

The minister will also attend the World Defense Show 2026 in Riyadh.

The major international defence exhibition runs from February 8 to 12.
