Tun Dr Mohd Ali Mohd Rustam honoured with Perdasama’s Lifetime Achievement Award for empowering entrepreneurs in Melaka and internationally
KLANG: Melaka Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Dr Mohd Ali Mohd Rustam received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Malay Traders and Entrepreneurs Association of Malaysia (Perdasama) at a Bumiputera economic non-governmental organisation awards ceremony.
The award presentation occurred during the Perdasama Excellence Awards and Gala Dinner 2025 held at a local hotel.
Perdasama Malaysia president Mohd Azamanizam Baharon presented this highest association honour recognising Tun Mohd Ali’s exceptional and sustained contributions to building and empowering Malaysia’s entrepreneurial community.
His contributions specifically benefited Melaka’s business sector and reached international levels through the Malay World Islamic World movement.
Twelve recipients received the Perdasama Leadership Award while two others were honoured with the Perdasama Strategic Partner Award during the same event.
Royal Klang City Council Mayor Datuk Abd Hamid Hussain presented these additional awards to the distinguished recipients.
Mohd Azamanizam highlighted in his speech that Perdasama serves as the only Bumiputera economic NGO acting as a panel adviser to the Advisory Committee for the PuTERA35 Guidelines.
He expressed gratitude for this recognition of Perdasama’s capability to represent Bumiputera entrepreneurs’ views and interests at the policy level.
The organisation’s membership has reached 27,480 Bumiputera companies spanning more than 50 business and industrial sectors as of September 1. – Bernama
