Negeri Sembilan honours 532 recipients for state ruler’s birthday

Tunku Mahmood Fawzy leads 532 recipients of Negeri Sembilan state awards, including top honours for the Auditor-General and six Datuks.

SEREMBAN: Tunku Kecil Muda Tunku Datuk Mahmood Fawzy Tunku Muhiyiddin headed the list of 532 award recipients in conjunction with the 78th birthday of the Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir.

Tunku Mahmood Fawzy, the Supervisor of Customs and Ceremonies of Istana Besar Seri Menanti, was conferred the Darjah Seri Setia Tuanku Muhriz Yang Amat Terbilang (SSTM), which carries the title Datuk Seri.

Auditor-General Datuk Seri Wan Suraya Wan Mohd Radzi received the Darjah Seri Setia Negeri Sembilan Yang Amat Cemerlang (SSNS), which also carries the title Datuk Seri.

Six individuals received the Darjah Dato’ Paduka Negeri Sembilan (DPNS), which carries the title Datuk.

The DPNS recipients are Seremban High Court Chief Judge Datuk Ahmad Shahrir Mohd Salleh, Negeri Sembilan State Executive Council member Datuk Mohd Faizal Ramli and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia vice-chancellor Prof Sufian Jusoh.

Also receiving the honour were Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital orthopaedic consultant Dr Abdul Muttalib Abdul Wahid, Western Fleet commander Vice-Admiral Datuk Pahlawan Mohamad Azuwan Harun, and lawyer Mohamed Ridza Mohamed Abdulla.

The Darjah Setia Tuanku Muhriz Yang Amat Gemilang (DSTM) was conferred on four recipients, including Khazanah Nasional Berhad executive director Suhana Dewi Selamat.

Twenty recipients were awarded the Darjah Setia Bakti Negeri Sembilan (DBNS), which carries the title Datuk.

The DBNS recipients included three assemblymen: P. Gunasekaren (Seremban Jaya), Dr G. Rajasekaran (Sri Tanjung) and Yew Boon Lye (Chuah).

Negeri Sembilan deputy police chief SAC Muhammad Idzam Jaafar was also among the DBNS honourees.

Tuanku Muhriz also consented to confer the Darjah Setia Negeri Sembilan (DNS) on 12 recipients and the Darjah Tuanku Muhriz (DTM) on one recipient.

Further awards included the Darjah Pekerti Terpilih (DPT) for 24 people and the Ahli Setia Negeri Sembilan (ANS) for 71 individuals.

The Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK) was conferred on 229 recipients, including a Bernama journalist.

The first session of the investiture ceremony was held at Balairung Seri, Istana Besar Seri Menanti.
