Negeri Sembilan expects five major foreign projects worth over RM27 billion to begin next year, focusing on AI data centres and manufacturing.
SEREMBAN: Five major foreign investment projects worth over RM27 billion are set to commence in Negeri Sembilan starting next year.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun said the projects span logistics, digital services, and the manufacturing sector.
He detailed that an Australian investment of RM20 billion will develop an artificial intelligence data centre at the Negeri Sembilan Semiconductor Valley within Malaysia Vision Valley 2.0.
The project’s first phase alone is expected to cost RM10 billion.
A separate AI data campus project by United States investors in Bandar Springhill, Lukut, carries an estimated value of RM5 billion.
Aminuddin said two Japanese investments include a RM300 million multi-storey smart cold-storage warehouse in Techpark 2, Bandar Enstek.
Another Japanese project involves RM280 million for medical equipment manufacturing in Sendayan Techvalley.
A Dutch semiconductor project in Senawang is estimated at RM2 billion overall, with its first phase around RM300 million.
Aminuddin, who chairs the State Investment Committee, provided these details in response to a query from assemblyman Siau Meow Kong.
All five strategic projects are located within the Seremban and Port Dickson areas of the MVV 2.0 region.
This region is designed as a key catalyst for high-impact industrial development in the state.
The state government anticipates new investments in manufacturing and services will grow rapidly in coming years.
Growth is expected to be strong over the next five years, driven by new, strategically located industrial areas.
These areas feature good road networks, modern infrastructure, and a comprehensive support ecosystem.
“With a clear development roadmap, forward-looking planning, and the full commitment of all parties, Negeri Sembilan is in an optimal position to emerge as a dynamic regional investment hub,” Aminuddin added. – Bernama
