Outing to Tasik Biru Kundang ends in tragic drowning

KUALA LUMPUR: An outing with a friend ended in tragedy for a man who drowned at Tasik Biru Kundang, Sungai Buloh here this afternoon.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations, Ahmad Mukhlis said the 34-year-old victim was an Orang Asli named Azman Jus.

“We received a call from his friend at 3.32 pm. A team from the Batu Arang Fire and Rescue station and a Water Rescue team were sent to the location.

“The victim was found at a depth of four metres at the bottom of the lake at 6.10 pm, about 10 metres from where he was reported missing,” he said in a statement.

Ahmad Mukhlis said the victim and his friend had gone to the recreation area on a motorcycle to swim in the lake. –Bernama
