Pahang will give a special incentive to composer Joy Ngiaw to honour her Emmy win, as the state’s cooperative announces a major dividend payout for members.

JERANTUT: The Pahang state government will provide a special incentive to composer Joy Ngiaw following her win at the 4th Children’s and Family Emmy Awards.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said the incentive is a token of appreciation for the Pahang-born composer’s international achievement.

“I would like to congratulate and thank Joy Ngiaw for bringing pride to the state of Pahang and the country,” he told reporters in Jerantut.

He expressed hope that Ngiaw would continue to excel in her field.

Ngiaw won the Outstanding Music Direction and Composition for an Animated Program award for her work on the series *WondLa*.

The announcement was made after Wan Rosdy detailed a significant dividend payout for members of Koperasi Serbausaha Makmur Bhd (Kosma).

The cooperative will distribute plantation unit dividends totalling RM30.62 million to 1,494 members.

It will also provide an advance dividend of one plantation unit, valued at RM6,000 each, amounting to RM8.964 million in total.

A Hari Raya bonus of RM2,000 will be given to all members, involving a total payout of RM2.986 million.

Wan Rosdy said the balance of the plantation unit dividend will be paid after the cooperative’s annual general meeting on June 20.

Dividends on share capital will be distributed after approval from the Malaysia Cooperative Societies Commission (SKM).

Wan Rosdy, who is also the Jelai state assemblyman, said the distributions are expected to help members prepare for Aidilfitri.

“May Kosma continue to progress and serve as an example for other cooperatives in Malaysia,” he said.
