“Insya-Allah, with careful planning and cooperation of all parties, the Johor state election can be run smoothly, peacefully and in harmony for the people of Johor,” he posted on Facebook today after visiting the Batu Pahat district police headquarters for a briefing on the security forces level of readiness and preparations for the Johor state election.

The Election Commission announced that a special meeting for the Johor state election will be held on June 12, following the dissolution of the Johor state assembly on June 1 after the Johor Regent, Tunku Mahkota Ismail gave his consent.
