A technical issue at Rasa station has caused significant delays for ETS and Komuter services, with one train running over 2.5 hours behind schedule

KUALA LUMPUR: A technical fault has caused major delays for Electric Train Service (ETS) passengers travelling from the capital to the north.

The ETS train EP9130 from KL Sentral to Butterworth is now expected to arrive at 8.22 pm, a delay of approximately 157 minutes from its original 5.45 pm arrival.

Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) said the delay was due to a technical glitch at Rasa station in Hulu Selangor. The issue occurred at 3.02 pm today after the train had departed KL Sentral at 1.40 pm.

The disruption has also impacted other services along the route. Komuter and ETS trains are experiencing delays of about 15 minutes due to the implementation of single-track operations.

KTMB advised affected passengers to seek assistance from station staff on duty. The rail operator also urged travellers to follow the latest updates, which will be provided periodically.

“KTMB apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks passengers for their attention,” the company said in a statement.
