Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim commended firefighters for their quick response and efficiency in controlling a fire at Kampung Bellamy, saving lives and property.
KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has praised the swift action of the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (JBPM) for successfully controlling a fire in Kampung Bellamy.
In a post on the X platform, he said the high fighting spirit shown by the firefighters reflects their commitment to ensuring the safety of the people.
“The quick action of this fire department team deserves praise for successfully controlling the fire with efficiency and discipline, thereby saving lives and property,” he said.
Earlier reports stated that three squatter houses, two freezer containers, and two vehicles were destroyed in the fire near the Nirvana cemetery area.
The blaze occurred at approximately 7:30 am today on Jalan Kwangyi.
However, the fire was successfully contained without any loss of life, thanks to the swift intervention of the fire department. – Bernama
