Pakatan Harapan’s state election manifesto builds on proven programmes and policies, says Steven Sim.
SEREMBAN: Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) manifesto for the 16th Negeri Sembilan state election is not merely empty promises, but is grounded in the experience and proven track record of the state government led by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun.
Penang DAP chairman Steven Sim said the manifesto, which outlines 10 key commitments for voters, represents an enhancement and continuation of various high-impact programmes and policies that have already proven effective.
“Anyone can come up with a manifesto, but the strength of PH’s offer is that it is built on experience and proven achievements.
“I see this manifesto as evidence not only of our strength, but also of our political resolve to continue serving the people, sustain the state’s strong economic performance, and deliver benefits that are tangible, not merely reflected in figures and slogans, but truly felt by the people of Negeri Sembilan,” he said.
He said this to reporters after attending the Negeri Sembilan Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP) staff and agencies assembly here today.
On the federal government’s support for economic development should PH retain the state government, the Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister said his ministry would continue to work closely with the Negeri Sembilan government to support and empower entrepreneurs in the state.
Among the commitments announced in PH’s manifesto yesterday is the establishment of the youth entrepreneurs fund (TUB) to empower young entrepreneurs in the state, an initiative that falls under KUSKOP’s purview.
The Election Commission has set July 28 for early voting in the Negeri Sembilan state election, with polling day on Aug 1.
