Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim reaffirms the MADANI government’s commitment to national harmony and economic strength as Visit Malaysia Year 2026 kicks off.

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has pledged the MADANI government’s commitment to national harmony and economic strength.

He stated that ensuring harmony in diversity remains the core of the nation’s progress.

The government will also focus on strengthening the economy for the people’s wellbeing.

“This is the MADANI Government’s commitment to Malaysia,” Anwar said in a Facebook post.

He added the government will move forward with full confidence alongside the people.

The post included a video of Anwar celebrating the New Year with Malaysians.

The celebration also served as the launch catalyst for Visit Malaysia Year 2026.

The campaign officially kicked off with the Visit Malaysia 2026 Countdown Festival.

The large-scale New Year’s Eve event was held at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.

It marks the start of efforts to drive momentum for the tourism sector.

The target is 43 million visitor arrivals by 2026.

This aligns with aspirations to make Malaysia a top global destination.
