BN chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi says coalition will work with like-minded parties to form new Sabah government, prioritising stability and people’s welfare.

KOTA KINABALU: Barisan Nasional is prepared to cooperate with like-minded parties to establish a new state government following the 17th Sabah State Election.

BN chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the coalition consistently prioritises political stability and public welfare.

The Deputy Prime Minister urged all Sabahans to maintain peace, unity and respect for the ongoing democratic process.

“Sabah’s journey forward requires the commitment of all parties, and BN will continue to play a constructive role to ensure the state progresses towards development and prosperity,” he stated.

Ahmad Zahid, who also serves as UMNO president, expressed profound appreciation to voters who placed their trust in BN candidates.

He confirmed BN respects and accepts the election outcome, noting 596 candidates contested as evidence of Sabah’s vibrant democracy.

“This result proves that BN still has a strong support base and continues to be one of the key political blocs in Sabah’s political landscape,” he added.
