“This selection coincides with MITRA’s mandate to strengthen Tamil schools as drivers of social mobility for the Indian community,” said MITRA.

The Ministry of Finance has allocated RM100,000 for comprehensive development programmes at the school.

The funding will focus on improving infrastructure, learning facilities, and digital literacy in teaching.

It will also support student motivation, character development, and targeted academic interventions.

MITRA emphasised that digital mastery is a basic requirement to ensure students do not fall behind.

“MITRA believes that with the leadership of the Prime Minister… Tamil schools can continue to be strengthened as excellent, progressive and inclusive educational institutions,” it added.

The programme was attended by MITRA director-general G. Prabagaran, principal G. Oveachselvi, and PTA president S. Shaktiveloo. – Bernama
