Israeli forces with tanks and prefabricated structures entered Syria’s Quneitra province, marking a new violation of Syrian sovereignty.
TEHRAN: Israel’s military launched a new incursion into Syria’s Quneitra province late Saturday, according to reports from Syrian state media.
The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that an Israeli force consisting of two tanks and two military vehicles entered the eastern Tal al-Ahmar hill in southern Quneitra.
The forces took up positions inside prefabricated rooms that had been brought to the site the previous day, with Israeli occupation forces having entered the area on Friday with a bulldozer and several prefabricated structures.
This latest Israeli violation of Syrian sovereignty follows remarks by Syria’s president that Damascus is serious about reaching a security agreement with the Zionist regime.
