British boxer Anthony Joshua posts his first public message after a car crash in Nigeria that killed two team members, as the driver faces charges.
BRITISH boxer Anthony Joshua has issued his first public update following a fatal car crash in Nigeria.
The incident near Lagos on Monday killed two of his close friends and team members, Sina Ghami and Latif ‘Latz’ Ayodele.
Joshua was injured and hospitalised before being discharged on Wednesday and flying back to the UK.
He posted two images on Instagram on Sunday, sitting with his mother and others, one holding a photo of Ghami.
The former two-time world heavyweight champion captioned the post ‘My Brothers Keeper’.
On Friday, Nigerian police confirmed the driver, Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, had been charged over the crash.
Joshua was a passenger in the vehicle, which struck a stationary truck on a major road.
He was in Nigeria on holiday after his knockout win over Jake Paul in Miami on December 19.
