Malaysian para-athlete Muhammad Ziyad Zolkefli secured gold in the men’s shot put F20 event at the 2025 ASEAN Para Games in Thailand.
NATIONAL para-athlete Muhammad Ziyad Zolkefli secured the gold medal in the men’s shot put F20 event at the 2025 ASEAN Para Games today.
His winning throw of 16.81 metres was enough to comfortably secure the top spot on the podium.
The result fell short of his own ASEAN Para Games record of 16.92m, set in Solo in 2022.
His Asian record of 17.43m, achieved in Japan last year, also remains intact.
Fellow Malaysian Mohamad Aliff Mohamad Awi claimed the silver medal with a throw of 13.80m.
Thailand’s Boonkong Sanepoot completed the podium, taking bronze with a distance of 13.68m. – Bernama
