Argentina and Switzerland draw 1-1 after 90 minutes in World Cup quarter-final as Alexis Mac Allister and Dan Ndoye score for their teams

THE World Cup quarter-final between reigning champions Argentina and Switzerland went into extra-time on Saturday after the match finished 1-1 at the end of normal time.

Alexis Mac Allister scored Argentina’s opener on 10 minutes but Switzerland slowly got into the game and Dan Ndoye finished off a well-worked move to bring them level midway through the second half.

The Swiss took a blow though when forward Breel Embolo was sent off for simulation on 72 minutes.
