Tottenham’s Kolo Muani and Odobert fine after London car accident

Spurs manager Thomas Frank says Randal Kolo Muani and Wilson Odobert are fit to face Eintracht Frankfurt despite a minor car crash delaying their travel.

TOTTENHAM Hotspur manager Thomas Frank confirmed Randal Kolo Muani and Wilson Odobert are “fine” and will play against Eintracht Frankfurt despite a car accident.

The French duo were involved in a minor crash in London on Tuesday while on their way to the airport. Frank said the incident, caused by a tyre blowing up, would only delay their arrival in Germany.

“I fully expect them to be available for tomorrow,” Frank told reporters before Wednesday’s Champions League match.

The coach confirmed defenders Pedro Porro and Micky van de Ven would not play due to injury. Porro is out for four weeks with a hamstring problem, while van de Ven has a minor issue.

Tottenham’s injury crisis has deepened this season, with Frank previously saying his side is “cursed”. Richarlison, Mohammed Kudus, Rodrigo Bentancur, Ben Davies, Lucas Bergvall, Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison are all currently sidelined.

Radu Dragusin, Yves Bissouma, Mathys Tel, Conor Gallagher and Souza are also unavailable as they were not registered for the Champions League squad.

Spurs sit fifth in the expanded 36-team league phase and can secure direct progress to the last 16 with a win. Frankfurt, already eliminated, are in 33rd place.

The match marks a return to Frankfurt for Kolo Muani, who left the club for Paris Saint-Germain in a 95 million euro move in 2023. Frankfurt winger Ansgar Knauff said “there was plenty of noise surrounding his exit”.

“I don’t think it’ll be such a warm welcome from the fans,” Knauff added.

Frank also said Tottenham remain “in the market” for more players in the January transfer window to improve the squad.
