Imagine the stories missing items can tell when it travels from one person to another. In WarnerMedia’s first HBO Asia original romantic comedy Adventure of the Ring, viewers will get a glimpse of the lives of different couples as the missing ring gets passed from one couple to another.
Based on mathematician and author Lai I-Wei’s romance novel Ring of the Day, Yi Zhi (Chris Wang 《宥勝》), a baseball-loving actuary, and Lisa (Allison Lin 《林予晞》), his free-spirited flight attendant girlfriend are about to get engaged.
Although Yi Zhi’s meticulously planned the proposal, he misplaces the ring on the train. While searching for the ring, Yi Zhi and Lisa re-examine their future together and what love means to them as the ring travels through the hands of other couples.
Helmed by Nelson Yeh 《葉天倫》 and directed by Golden Bell nominated director, Kitamura Tayoharu 《北村豐晴》, the series also stars Denny Huang 《黃柏鈞》 、Hangee Liou 《劉國劭》、Sun Ke-Fang 《孫可芳》、Lung Shao-Hua 《龍劭華》、Wang Chuan 《王娟》、Helena Hsu 《許乃涵》、Liang Cheng-Chun 《梁正群》、Wang You-Chian 《王宥謙》、Erek Lin 《林暉閔》、Vicky Huang 《黃沐”妍J》、Bamboo Chen 《陳竹昇》、Janet Hsieh 《謝怡芬》 and Huang Shang-Ho 《黃尚禾》.
HBO Asia original series Adventure of the Ring is produced by KBRO Media’s Good Image Co., Ltd with the support of Taiwan Ministry of Culture (Bureau of Audiovisual and Music Industry Development) as well as Taipei Film Commission.
The first two episodes will premiere on Sunday, 13 December at 9pm exclusively on HBO GO and HBO (Astro Ch 411 HD). The eight-episode series will premiere a new episode every Sunday at the same time.
