SHAH ALAM: Malaysia will get a taste of Thailand as Amazing Thailand Fest 2026 returns with a three-day cultural showcase at Central i-City from June 26 to 28, featuring food, performances and immersive lifestyle experiences.
Organised through a collaboration between the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Central i-City, the event aims to bring the essence of Thai culture closer to Malaysian audiences through a mix of gastronomy, entertainment and family-friendly activities.
Central i-City is the first shopping centre in Southeast Asia to host the festival as part of a global series, following previous showcases at Central Group-linked destinations in London, Berlin and Amsterdam.
The festival will feature a Thai Food Bazaar offering authentic street food and regional dishes, alongside cultural performances highlighting traditional Thai arts such as Nora, Phirom Ros Siam and Pong Pai.
Thai actor and singer Third Lapat is also set to make a special appearance, where he will perform live and take part in a cooking demonstration expected to draw fans and festival-goers.
A key highlight of the event will be the “Sawasdee Lounge”, a Thai-inspired floating market concept featuring desserts, snacks and beverages in a themed social space accompanied by live buskers, games and photo opportunities.
Families and children will be able to take part in a wide range of activities, including arts and crafts workshops, dessert-making sessions, interactive challenges, Thai massage experiences and a Kids Muay Thai workshop.
“We are truly honoured that Central i-City has been selected to host Amazing Thailand Fest 2026 after its successful showcases at our Central Group destinations in Europe,” said Wallaya Chirathivat, president of Central Group and director of Central Pattana Plc.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand said Malaysia remains one of its most important tourism markets, adding that the festival offers Malaysians an opportunity to experience Thai hospitality, food and culture in a single destination.
As part of the celebration, Central i-City will also roll out exclusive promotions during the festival period. Shoppers who spend RM200 and above at participating outlets will receive a complimentary ChaTraMue Thai tea, while top spenders stand a chance to win a round-trip trip to Phuket, subject to terms and conditions.
Running daily from 10am to 10pm, Amazing Thailand Fest 2026 promises a vibrant celebration of Thai culture, blending food, entertainment and lifestyle experiences in the heart of Shah Alam.
