Nuuna and Nasi Lemak Burung Hantu launch authentic instant nasi lemak range

Nuuna and Nasi Lemak Burung Hantu launch instant noodles and vermicelli, bringing Malaysia’s iconic nasi lemak flavour into a convenient ready-in-minutes format.

MALAYSIA’S most beloved dish, nasi lemak, has been reimagined into a convenient instant format through a new collaboration between Nuuna, the instant noodle brand by Serba Wangi Sdn Bhd and the popular eatery Nasi Lemak Burung Hantu (NLBH).

Unlike typical nasi lemak-flavoured instant products, which often rely on generic interpretations, this partnership aims to deliver a more authentic experience by replicating the distinct and recognisable flavour profile of NLBH.
The range includes instant noodles and instant vermicelli designed to mirror the restaurant’s signature taste.

Every component has been meticulously developed to reflect the elements that define NLBH’s nasi lemak.

This includes its signature rich sambal heat, aromatic fried shallots and garlic, savoury anchovies, tangy tamarind notes and a well-balanced, layered base.

The result is a product that brings a sought-after taste into a quick, ready-in-minutes format.

Serba Wangi Sdn Bhd spokesperson Azri Fahmi said that the collaboration was driven by a desire to elevate the standard of nasi lemak-flavoured instant noodles.

“There are already products out there that reference nasi lemak as a flavour, but we wanted to do something more specific and more meaningful.

“Nasi Lemak Burung Hantu has a flavour that Malaysians actively seek out – it has a real identity, a real following,” he said.

Azri added that the transition to an instant format was a logical step for the brand.

“At Serba Wangi, bringing a flavour that Malaysians already love into a format that they are equally familiar with felt like a natural step

“We know that not everyone reaches for nasi lemak in the same way – some want to sit down for a full experience, and some want something fast that still hits the same notes. This range is for the latter. It’s for the person who loves noodles, loves NLBH, and wants both at once – without having to wait or compromise,” he added.

The product line caters to various consumption habits, offering a satisfying option for busy lifestyles, whether for lunch, late-night cravings, or on-the-go meals.

Rather than replacing the traditional nasi lemak experience, the range aims to extend it into a modern, accessible format.

Nasi Lemak Burung Hantu director Alfian Basir said the partnership allows the brand to connect with a wider demographic.

“Nasi Lemak Burung Hantu has always been about giving Malaysians a nasi lemak experience they keep coming back to.

“Partnering with Serba Wangi to bring that same flavour into an instant format felt like a natural way to reach more Malaysians – especially those who grew up with our taste but don’t always have the time to sit down for a plate. We’re proud that what’s in that bowl still feels like us,” he said.

Priced at RM7.99, the Nuuna x NLBH instant noodle and vermicelli range is now available exclusively at Jaya Grocer outlets nationwide.

It can also be purchased via the SW Food official e-stores on TikTok Shop, Shopee and Lazada.
