POPULAR Indonesian vocalists Ifan from Seventeen and Anggi Marito are set to share the stage with Malaysia’s Alif Satar and his band, The Locos, at the “Konsert Memori Terindah 2023” this November.
The concert, organised by Mutiara Optimum Sdn Bhd and produced by One Event Resources, is scheduled for Nov 11 at 8pm and will be held at the Plenary Hall of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in KLCC.
Adam Hanafi, spokesperson for Mutiara Optimum, said in a statement that this concert is an event that brings together accomplished musicians and singers, leaving a lasting imprint on fans with their quality performances and creating cherished memories. “Ifan is known for his heartfelt songs, while Anggi of Indonesian Idol fame is energetic and sociable.
“As for Alif and The Locos, they are versatile teen idols who can entertain in multiple genres,” he said, adding that they were confident that fans would have an evening to remember. The concert marks Ifan’s comeback to Malaysia following the tragic loss of his bandmates Andi, Bani, and Herman in the devastating Sunda Straits tsunami triggered by the eruption of the Anak Krakatau volcano in December 2018.
“This Memori Terindah concert will hold a significant place in my heart and in the hearts of other former members of Seventeen. Even without the presence of the late Bani, Herman, and Andi, our music continues to be cherished by the people of Malaysia.
“It would be truly meaningful if all my departed friends, who were loved by many, could witness this 2023 Best Memory Concert,” stated Ifan.
Alif expressed that the initiative by Mutiara Optimum Sdn Bhd to organise a concert involving musicians from these two closely related countries will undoubtedly enrich the music industry of both nations.
“This shows that despite differences in countries and the subtle variation in language, music remains a universal platform. It not only has the ability but also the potential to provide fans with the most beautiful memories.
