THE accessibility and range of flavours offered by vaping have contributed to its recent rise in popularity. However, the wrong demographic has begun to develop an interest in it as well.
Abdul Rani Kulup Fans page on social media platform X recently posted a video showing a young child vaping in public at a mamak restaurant.
The post read, “My father personally recorded this video last night at Restoran Hakim.”
“You can see for yourself that a boy who is about six-years-old has mastered vaping. He even vapes openly in public without experiencing any fear or shame. It seems like this has become the standard.”
The post added that the Ministry of Health planned to create a new law that would prohibit selling cigarettes and vapes to boys under the age of sixteen. However, there were some who opposed the law and then, this is what comes out of it— a six-year-old vaping.
We can all agree that, given how addictive vaping can be and the serious health risks involved, it can be especially upsetting to witness a young child vaping as if he has been doing so for a long time.
