A Threads user, Wan Yusri, recently shared a post about a young boy’s do-it-yourself (DIY) fishing rod. He used nothing more than correction tape and a broom handle stick to catch guppies.
“Kids these days have such unusual fishing setups. A guppy rod made using just correction tape — seriously impressive,” he wrote.
The post quickly caught the attention of netizens, who praised the boy’s ingenuity and resourcefulness.
One user, @daigowuu, jokingly commented that the child must be a student of Phineas and Ferb, the animated series about two brothers known for building imaginative inventions during their summer holidays.
Another commenter, Filzah Hanis, noted that the boy’s creativity reflected the positive influence of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education taught in schools.
