Lawyer Muhammad Rafique Rashid Ali confirmed the hearing date was set during a case management session today.

The charge under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 carries a mandatory life sentence and caning upon conviction.

He faced a separate charge for allegedly possessing two imitation pistols along Jalan Bukit Kiara at about 9.25 am the same day.

That charge was brought under Section 36(1) of the Arms Act 1960.
