A Malaysian husband has expressed frustration over his marriage of two years, claiming that despite being the sole provider, he feels unappreciated by his wife.
In an anonymous X post, the 32-year-old husband said he lives with his 30-year-old wife in KL and even paid for their wedding preparations, including daily necessities, and until today continues to be the main provider.
However, he claimed that despite his efforts, his wife often gets angry easily and ignores him for days at a time.
“All preparations for our wedding, including necessities, were paid for by me.
“Now I’m the one providing and taking care of everything, but my wife gets angry easily and ignores me for days.”
To add to his frustration, the wife, he shares, makes no effort to communicate or apologise first.
The husband also added that she is not good at cooking and her behaviour has led him to question whether he made the right choice in choosing his life partner.
“She can’t cook, and now she’s even making me question my choice of spouse.
“What should I do?”

One user warned the man to think carefully about his future, especially if children are involved.

Another commenter took a harsher stance, suggesting the couple were incompatible and blaming differences in ego and financial status.
“I think she has a strong ego towards you because you’re not that wealthy… Honestly, she’s not suitable for you,” commented a user identified as Premiere.
However, others urged patience and calm, pointing out that conflicts are common in the early years of marriage.
