Flood victims in Kedah rise to 17 people from six families, sheltered at Kampung Bukit Belah Community Hall as two rivers surpass danger levels.
ALOR SETAR: The number of flood victims in Kedah has increased slightly today with 17 people from six families evacuated from Kuala Muda district.
This represents an increase from the 10 victims recorded yesterday.
All evacuees are currently sheltered at the Kampung Bukit Belah Community Hall, which opened at noon yesterday.
Meanwhile, two rivers in the state have exceeded their warning levels according to the Public Infobanjir portal.
Sungai Titi Kerbau near Pendang has surpassed its danger level of 4.62 metres.
Sungai Laka near Kubang Pasu has also exceeded its warning level of 21.55 metres. – Bernama
