Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling confronted burglars who broke into his Berkshire home while his family was present, marking his third property invasion.
CHELSEA winger Raheem Sterling confronted burglars who broke into his family home while they were present last weekend.
The 30-year-old England international was with partner Paige Milian and their children around 5:30 PM GMT Saturday when intruders entered his luxury Berkshire property.
The robbers were disturbed during the incident and fled before stealing anything.
Sterling’s representative confirmed the break-in on Wednesday, stating the player and his children were home during the violation.
“We can confirm that Raheem Sterling was the victim of a home break-in this weekend,” the representative said.
“We can also confirm that he and his children were present at home at the time.”
The statement expressed thankfulness that Sterling and his loved ones remained safe despite the privacy violation.
This marks the third time burglars have targeted properties belonging to the Chelsea forward.
Sterling’s previous Surrey home was burgled in December 2022 while he was competing in the World Cup in Qatar.
That incident forced him to fly home early, causing him to miss England’s 3-0 victory over Senegal.
Thieves stole jewellery and watches valued at £300,000 during that break-in.
Earlier in 2018, intruders targeted Sterling’s Cheshire residence but fled when the alarm activated.
The winger has yet to feature for Chelsea this season after being excluded by manager Enzo Maresca.
Sterling spent last season on loan at Arsenal and has been training separately from Chelsea’s first team after failing to secure a transfer away. – AFP
