US strikes over 90 Iranian military targets on Kharg Island

US forces hit more than 90 Iranian military targets on Kharg Island, destroying naval and missile facilities while sparing oil infrastructure, CENTCOM says.

UNITED STATES forces executed a large-scale precision strike on Kharg Island in Iran on Friday night. The US Central Command confirmed the operation on Saturday.

“US forces successfully struck more than 90 Iranian military targets on Kharg Island, while preserving the oil infrastructure,” CENTCOM said in a statement.

The strike destroyed naval mine storage facilities and missile storage bunkers. It also hit multiple other military sites, according to a US military post on social media platform X.

President Donald Trump had threatened on Friday to strike the oil infrastructure of Iran’s Kharg Island hub. He issued the warning unless Tehran stopped attacking vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
