The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry launches an app to give the public instant access to Rahmah Madani sales schedules and locations nationwide
KOTA BHARU: The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) has launched the Info Jualan RAHMAH MADANI application to provide the public with faster access to programme information.
Deputy Minister Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh (pic) said the app allows users to check locations, dates and details in real time to help plan daily spending more effectively.
She said the ministry developed the app to address frequent public enquiries about sale schedules and locations.
“The app can be downloaded via smartphones and will make it easier for the public to obtain information quickly,” she told reporters after an event here.
Fuziah also revealed that 7,320 Rahmah Madani sales series were held nationwide from January 1 to March 31 this year.
In Kelantan alone, 496 programmes were organised, recording 386,888 purchase transactions.
“This achievement proves the effectiveness of the initiative in ensuring continued access to basic necessities at affordable prices,” she said.
She added the government would continue to strengthen and expand the programme in a more strategic manner.
This expansion will consider global economic challenges, including rising logistics costs and supply chain pressures.
“The government, through KPDN, remains committed to intensifying various initiatives to address cost of living pressures comprehensively,” she said.
At the same event, 50 recipients from the Kota Lama constituency received Bakul Rahmah contributions.
