M. Nasir and Datin Marlia Musa seek new talent for upcoming musical Mansur & Liu
AFTER years of work in music, film and performance, legendary artiste Datuk M. Nasir is now moving into musical theatre with Mansur & Liu, a new production developed with Datin Marlia Musa.
The pair are currently searching for the performer who will bring Liu to life on stage. The role calls for someone who can act, sing and dance, with the presence to stand opposite Mansur in the upcoming musical.
The open audition, titled M. Nasir Mencari Liu, will be held on May 15 at Club Chinois, LG Floor, JW Marriott Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Jalan Bukit Bintang, from 3pm.
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted to return the next day, May 16, for the next phase of auditions.
“This is our first musical theatre production. We have heard voices, seen acting and watched movement before this.
“Therefore, we want to see it become real through new talents in this staging,” said Marlia.
Those interested in auditioning may register through the form provided by the organisers.
