Discover Borneo 2026

Venue: Centre Court, The Curve

The Curve presents Discover Borneo 2026 in conjunction with Hari Gawai, bringing Sabah and Sarawak culture to Petaling Jaya through food, crafts, performances and family activities. The event features a Heritage Bazaar with dishes such as kolok mee, Sarawak laksa, kek lapis and gula apong ice cream, alongside pua kumbu textiles, rattan weaving, beadwork, cultural performances, workshops, a kids colouring contest and travel booths for Sabah and Sarawak packages.

Ur-Mu: The Genesis Collection

Ur-Mu presents The Genesis Collection, an exhibition event featuring 38 contemporary artworks from the museum founder’s collection. The showcase brings together works by 16 artists across new media art, painting, sculpture and ceramic sculpture. Admission is RM20 for adults, free for children aged 12 and below accompanied by an adult and full-time students with ID, while seniors aged 60 and above and visitors with disabilities pay RM10.

The Incredible Voyage of Alasdair Malloy

The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra presents a family-themed concert event with presenter Alasdair Malloy and conductor Jebat Arjuna Kee. The one-hour programme takes audiences on a musical journey from Scotland to Kuala Lumpur, featuring works linked to transport and adventure alongside excerpts from Star Wars, Aladdin, Harry Potter and Moana.

Cinema Pairing: Japan × Malaysia

The Japan Foundation and GSC International Screens present a film screening programme featuring Japanese and Malaysian films. The programme includes Small, Slow But Steady, Tokyo Story, The Story of Southern Islet, Welcome Back, Mr. McDonald and Mencari Rahmat, alongside sharing sessions by Malaysian filmmakers Chong Keat Aun and Al Jafree Md Yusop.

Untitled is a large-scale group exhibition event featuring more than 120 artists and over 300 artworks across disciplines. Presented in collaboration with GMBB and supported by Yayasan Hasanah, the exhibition displays works without artist names or titles, encouraging visitors to respond directly to the art while supporting artists through handwritten RM2 donation “gift letters” and an interactive Bingo system.
