NESCAFÉ marks Labour Day with new staff community room at KLIA

Partnership with MAHB also saw over 5,000 drinks distributed to airport workers at KLIA Terminal 1

NESCAFÉ has partnered with Malaysian Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) to launch a new staff community room at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1 in conjunction with Labour Day celebrations.

The initiative, held under the “Ngopi Dulu, Kekal Bersemangat Bersama” campaign, aims to recognise airport personnel and frontline workers who keep airport operations running smoothly.

According to NESCAFÉ, the collaboration builds on last year’s “Ngopi Dulu & Kekal Kental Bersama” campaign, which focused on appreciating the resilience and contributions of Malaysian workers.

Speaking at the launch, Nestlé Malaysia Chief Executive Officer Juan Aranols said the campaign reflects efforts to support airport staff working in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

“Airport operations move at a rapid pace and come with daily challenges. Labour Day provides an opportunity to recognise the dedication of the teams who ensure smooth operations and connectivity,” he said.

The newly refurbished community room at KLIA Terminal 1 is designed as a dedicated space for staff to rest and recharge during shifts. It also features a vending machine stocked with NESCAFÉ products as well as other Nestlé items such as MILO, KitKat and MAGGI.

As part of the Labour Day initiative, NESCAFÉ distributed more than 5,000 canned beverages to MAHB personnel working across the airport, including NESCAFÉ Original, 3x Shot, Latte and Mocha variants.

The event also included a surprise performance by Malaysian singer Black Hanifah, who entertained airport staff during the celebration.

NESCAFÉ said the collaboration marks the beginning of broader efforts to expand staff-focused rest and recharge facilities across KLIA in the future.
