Netizens share why workers leave toxic workplaces, saying peace of mind outweighs pay and office politics

A MAN has taken to Threads to explain why people working in toxic environments eventually decide to quit their jobs.

According to him, it is not because the work is difficult, but because they want to protect their peace of mind.

“Trust me, if there is a toxic colleague in the workplace, you don’t quit because of the job. You leave because peace is more valuable than any pay cheque.

“Sometimes the job isn’t difficult, but the negative environment, fake smiles, office politics and people who enjoy bringing others down slowly drain your energy. Protecting your peace isn’t weakness. It’s self-respect,” @irfananialsazali wrote.

The post resonated with many netizens, who shared similar experiences.

“Agreed,” one netizen commented. “Never quit because of them. You work for yourself, not for them.”

Another netizen shared a similar experience, saying: “I was in the same situation. I don’t believe in revenge. I chose to leave because I wanted peace and happiness.”

Another user wrote: “Indeed. It’s not because we are weak, but because peace is more precious.”
