Sid Sriram to serenade Kuala Lumpur

Sid Sriram returns to KL

THE multi-award-winning singer, songwriter and global music phenomenon Sid Sriram returns to Kuala Lumpur for Heart & Soul 4.0 Live in KL 2026, the fourth edition of a concert series that has sold out every single one of its previous runs.

Heart & Soul 4.0 will take place on July 18 at Unifi Arena Bukit Jalil (formerly known as Axiata Arena), Kuala Lumpur, with doors opening in the evening for what promises to be the biggestcelebration of Indian music in Malaysia this year.

The Heart & Soul legacy speaks for itself. Tickets for the 2022 sold out within 90 minutes of launch, prompting the addition of a second show after overwhelming demand from Malaysian fans. Heart & Soul 3.0 in October 2023 was once again a full house at
Axiata Arena.

With Heart & Soul 4.0, organisers Woodmark Events are raising the bar yet again, with an expanded production, a full live band and a setlist spanning Sid’s biggest Tamil, Telugu and Hindi hits.

Live concerts as economic drivers

The concert is supported by MyCreative Ventures Sdn Bhd and Communications Ministry for the first time ever. This partnership serves as a recognition of live entertainment in Malaysia.

“Live entertainment is one of the most powerful engines of Malaysia’s creative economy. Events of this scale bring tourism spend, create opportunities for local production talent and showcase Malaysia’s capability to host world class shows,” said MyCreative Ventures Sdn Bhd CEO Zainol Haqim Zainol Rashid.

In collaboration with PureSaivaa and Where Else Entertainment, the concert is set to be one that will be remembered for generations.

“The concert is more than entertainment, it is a celebration of culture, community and the music that binds the Malaysian Indian community together across generations,” said Venod, a representative of Pure Saivaa.

Where Else Entertainment’s Datuk Mani reckoned that the bond between the artiste and audience is one that has to be experienced in flesh.

“The connection between Sid Sriram and the Malaysian audience is something you have to witness to believe. Thousands of voices singing every word back at him, that is not something you can manfacture.”

Generational talent

With a voice that fuses Carnatic classical roots, R&B textures and contemporary soul, Sid has become one of the most streamed and most sought after voices in Indian cinema. Born in Chennai and raises in California, Sid brings a unique perspective to music having graduated from Berklee College of Music. Another famous talent who is an alumni is Charlie Puth.

Famously drawing similarities from two cultures he had grown up with, his perception of music is a manifestation of that amalgamation of two opposing disciplines. Effortless moving from the Carnatic scales to the Western Minor one, Sid has established himself as a verstaile singer strongly rooted in Indian music, as evident in his 2023 self-titled album Sidharth.

A generational talent, the singer revealed in the Heart & Soul 4.0 press conference at Laya SkyLounge, Pinnacle PJ that he will also be covering iconic tracks sung, including ones by S. Janaki and more, making his show more wholesome.

Renowned for extended improvisations, spontaneous vocal runs and soaring belts, Sid is set to serenade Kuala Lumpur with his golden voice. Concertgoers can expect an emotional journey through his most loved soundtracks, from the song that started it all, Adiye, to the anthems that have defined a decade of Tamil and Telegu cinema.
