CCTV footage of three masked men allegedly breaking into a Muar home via a kitchen window sparks fear and security concerns online
A CCTV video showing three men allegedly breaking into a house in Muar through a small kitchen window has gone viral on social media.
The footage shows three masked men wearing black gloves squeezing through the small window before entering the kitchen area of the house.
The first man was seen wearing a red T-shirt, blue jeans and a cap. The second was dressed in a blue T-shirt and jeans, while the third wore a beige T-shirt, black trousers and appeared to have covered his face with a woman’s tudung.
The person who shared the video on Threads warned Muar residents, writing: “Be careful, Muar residents. The incident took place at Taman Jaya Bakri Batu 3 at around 2am yesterday.”
The author also claimed that the three suspects were foreigners and alleged that they could not be arrested. However, no official statement has been issued to verify the claim.
The video triggered concern among netizens, with many expressing fear and anger after watching the alleged break-in unfold.
One user commented: “When the hand appeared, my heart started pounding.”
Another wrote: “It’s scary. It’s not like watching a ghost movie, but it’s frightening to face people like this.”
A resident claimed that the incident occurred in her neighbourhood two days earlier and alleged that three houses had recently been broken into.
Many netizens also discussed the importance of installing security grilles. One user advised homeowners to fit grilles on small windows, saying that while such windows may enhance a home’s appearance, safety should not be overlooked.
Another user shared a personal experience, writing: “If you’re planning to install windows like this, you should fit iron grilles. In my previous home, we had a small bathroom window without a grille. During our first Hari Raya there, thieves entered the house through that small window.”
The author later shared another image posted by a different Threads user, which allegedly showed the three men fleeing the scene carrying a white bag.
