Two 15-year-old teenagers plead guilty in Sungai Petani court to possessing stolen Honda C100 motorcycles, with sentencing set for Sept 8.
SUNGAI PETANI: Two 15-year-old boys pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court here today to separate charges of possessing stolen motorcycles.
The pleas were entered before Magistrate Noor Farah Hazwani Osman after the charges were read out separately.
They were charged under Section 411 of the Penal Code with possessing two stolen Honda C100 motorcycles belonging to two individuals at the Surau Taman Mutiara compound here at 11 pm on July 14 and 15.
The offence carries a jail term of between six months and five years, as well as a fine, upon conviction.
One of the teenagers also pleaded guilty to a separate charge under Section 414 of the Penal Code for dishonestly disposing of a stolen Honda C100 motorcycle at the Surau Taman Mutiara parking area at about 11 pm on July 15.
The offence carries a jail term of between six months and seven years, as well as a fine, upon conviction.
Prosecuting officer Insp Farah Amira Mohd Hassim conducted the prosecution, while both accused were unrepresented.
The court allowed bail of RM200 for the teenager facing one charge and RM400 for the other facing two charges, with one surety each, and fixed Sept 8 to receive social reports on both teenagers before sentencing.
