Parliament to discuss welfare aid and RV tourism initiatives today

Dewan Rakyat addresses welfare distribution, RV tourism development, AI chip access, and customs enforcement improvements in today’s session

KUALA LUMPUR: The Dewan Rakyat will address welfare aid distribution and recreational vehicle tourism initiatives in today’s parliamentary session.

According to the Order Paper, Cha Kee Chin will question the Women, Family and Community Development Minister about timely disbursement of Child Assistance, Persons with Disabilities Allowance and Senior Citizens Assistance.

He will also seek details on programmes supporting single mothers and low-income urban families in his Rasah constituency.

Kalam Salan will ask the Housing and Local Government Minister about government efforts to strengthen the RV tourism industry.

His question includes inquiries about developing RV parks for domestic and international travellers.

He will further ask whether Sabak Bernam could be considered as a pioneering site for such facilities.

R. Yuneswaran will question the Investment, Trade and Industry Minister about strategies for Malaysian companies to access AI chips from the United States and China.

Dr Mohammed Taufiq Johari will ask the Home Affairs Minister about customs inspection improvements at all international and domestic airports.

His question focuses on enhancing anti-smuggling enforcement measures.

The sitting will then proceed with committee stage debate on the 2026 Supply Bill.

The third meeting of the fourth session of the 15th Parliament is scheduled to run for 35 days until Dec 4. – Bernama
