The body of a 14-year-old boy was recovered from a retention pond, two days after he and his 12-year-old brother were swept away in a Kajang drain
KAJANG: The body of the second brother who went missing after falling into a large drain here has been found.
Kajang police chief ACP Naazron Abdul Yusof said the 14-year-old victim was discovered trapped in a retention pond in Taman Prima Saujana at 8.35 pm yesterday.
“The victim’s body was taken to Kajang Hospital for a post-mortem,” he said.
The two brothers, aged 12 and 14, were swept away by strong currents on Thursday while trying to retrieve a ball from the drain at Lorong 1/3A, Taman Prima Saujana.
The body of the first victim, the 12-year-old boy, was found at 7.47 pm on the same day at Sungai Merbau, Kampung Sungai Kantan.
That location is approximately two kilometres from where the pair were initially swept away. – Bernama
