Pahang flood situation ends, evacuees remain in Perak and Selangor

Floods in Pahang have fully receded, while Perak and Selangor still have nearly 1,000 evacuees in relief centres as of Saturday afternoon

KUALA LUMPUR: The flood situation in Pahang has fully ended, while Perak and Selangor continue to house evacuees as of 4 pm Saturday.

The last 31 evacuees from 12 families in Kuantan and Raub districts have returned home.

All major rivers in Pahang are now below their designated danger levels.

In Perak, the number of evacuees has dropped slightly to 934 people from 995 this morning.

They are from 262 families across three districts.

Hilir Perak district has the highest number with 398 evacuees, followed by Bagan Datuk with 335 and Manjung with 201.

In Selangor, 40 people from 13 families remain at a single relief centre in Kuala Selangor district. – BERNAMA
