Kerajaan tolak penetapan harga berperingkat RON95 selepas kuota BUDI95

Kerajaan kata penetapan harga berperingkat RON95 selepas kuota 300 liter habis tidak efisien dan berisiko ketirisan subsidi

KUALA LUMPUR: Kerajaan berpandangan  bahawa penetapan harga berperingkat RON95 pada paras RM2.10 atau RM2.30 di bawah program BUDI MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) selepas kuota 300 liter habis diguna pakai, akan mengekalkan elemen subsidi yang tidak efisien.

Menteri Kewangan II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan berkata ini sekali gus meningkatkan risiko ketirisan serta tidak menyumbang kepada pengukuhan kedudukan fiskal kerajaan.

“Sehubungan itu, kerajaan akan terus memantau secara teliti pola dan corak penggunaan serta menilai semula had berkenaan dari semasa ke semasa.

“Ia bagi memastikan pelaksanaan dasar penyasaran subsidi RON95 sentiasa diperhalusi dan diperkukuh demi manfaat rakyat serta kelestarian fiskal negara,” katanya pada sesi soal jawab lisan di Dewan Negara hari ini.

Beliau menjawab pertanyaan Senator Datuk Abdul Halim Suleiman yang ingin tahu rasional pelaksanaan BUDI95 pada harga RM1.99 bagi 300 liter pertama dan kembali kepada harga apungan RM2.60 bagi penggunaan melebihi 300 liter, berbanding penetapan harga berperingkat seperti RM2.10 atau RM2.30.

Amir Hamzah berkata berdasarkan data penggunaan sebenar, sejak pelaksanaan penyasaran subsidi RON95, penerima BUDI95 bagi  penggunaan persendirian mencatatkan purata penggunaan sebanyak 98 liter sebulan, iaitu hanya 33 peratus daripada had kelayakan bulanan yang ditetapkan.

“Kalau kita ingin menukar kelayakan pada tahap individu, itu satu isu yang sukar kerana kita ada 14 juta orang yang telah menggunakan BUDI95,” katanya.  

Menurutnya kerajaan akan melihat kepada ruang penambahbaikan dan mempertimbangkan semula cadangan yang dikemukakan apabila mempunyai data mencukupi, selepas setahun pelaksanaan BUDI95. – Bernama
