Flood evacuees in Sarawak increase to 1,136 people this morning, while Johor records a minor decrease with 134 victims across five relief centres.
KUCHING: The number of flood victims at temporary relief centres in Sarawak increased this morning while Johor recorded a slight decrease.
In Sarawak, the total rose to 1,136 people from 286 families as of 8 am today, up from 791 yesterday.

The Sarawak State Disaster Management Committee stated that 252 people from 52 families are at the Dewan R-Piang Kampung Sinar Budi Baru relief centre in Kuching.
The remaining evacuees are spread across eight other relief centres.
Affected areas in Kuching include Taman Desa Wira, Kampung Sinar Budi Baru, Kampung Sungai Batu, and Kampung Surih Iban.
Other flooded locations are Taman Malihah, Kampung Tengah Sungai, and Kampung Rantau Panjang in Kuching.
Flooding also impacted Kampung Plaie in Kota Samarahan and Kampung Siang Siang in Lawas.
In Johor, the flood victim count in Segamat decreased slightly to 134 people from 36 families.
Johor State Disaster Management Committee chairman Datuk Asman Shah Abd Rahman said they are housed at five relief centres.
Forty victims are at the Balai Raya Kampung Batu Badak centre, with 18 at Dewan Serbaguna Kampung Tasek.
Fourteen people are at Balai Raya Kampung Sanglang and 39 are at Dewan Serbaguna Kampung Tandong.
The remaining victims are at Balai Raya Kampung Paya.
Two rivers in Segamat have exceeded the danger level.
Sungai Muar at Buloh Kasap recorded a reading of 9.11 metres while Jeti Sungai Tekam registered 4.04 metres.
Asman Shah also confirmed the full closure of two roads.
Jalan Felda Tenggaroh 3 in Mersing is closed due to a landslide.
