Among her artiste friends seen at the mosque to pay their last respect were Uji Rashid, Hail Amir, Jeffrey Din, Datuk DJ Dave, Mas Omar and Datuk Khadijah Ibrahim. Datuk Siti Nurhaliza Taruddin, Datuk Hattan, Rohana Jalil, Zaiton Sameon, Azlina Aziz, Nassier Wahab, Datuk Redzuawan Ismail or Chef Wan and actressess Ellie Suriati and Datin Paduka Umie Aida were also there.
Meanwhile, Sharifah Aini's only child, Aliff Omar requested all quarters to forgive his mother for any mistakes that she had done and to pray for her.
"I thank everybody who had cared for her. I hope they pray for her and also for her family so that they be strong," he told reporters when met at the cemetery.
DJ Dave, who last met Sharifah Aini three weeks ago, said during the meeting, where Khadijah, Mas Omar and Zur Eda were also present, the songstress informed them that she was not well.
He described Sharifah Aini as a person committed to her career and who never gave up. DJ Dave, who is 1Malaysia Artistes Foundation president, also presented RM3,000 in funeral expenses to Sharifah Aini's family.
As for Mas Omar, one of Sharifah Aini's innate characteristics was helpful and was glad that he was able to fulfill the songstress' wish to meet her colleagues, like Fauziah Latif, Nassier Wahab, Herman Tino and Nasharudin Elias, or popularly known as Nash.
"She looked so happy and jovial when we met," he added.
Meanwhile, one of Sharifah Aini's loyal fan, Rasyidah Abdullah, in her 60s, said she used to receive money from the singer to buy food.
"She used to give me RM100 and RM200 so that I can buy food. I will never forget her kindness," she added.
Uji Rashid, who had known Sharifah Aini since the 1970s, said the songstress was her inspiration.
"In fact, when I recorded my first EP album, the two lyrics of her songs were written by Sharifah Aini," she said.
Datuk Siti Nurhaliza said to die during the month of Ramadan was every Muslim's wish and Sharifah Aini was fortunate because "not everybody gets to receive this greatness". – Bernama
