Freeport A’Famosa Outlet

FOLLOWING the success of shopping outlet centres in Johor Baru and KLIA, Malacca now has its very own Freeport A’Famosa Outlet offering bargains galore for over 60 international fashion, sports and accessories brands.
Constructed across 180,000sf, the grounds also feature a lake with a fountain, carousel and a windmill which reflects Malacca’s Dutch heritage. Spacious and cleverly laid out with 1,500 FREE parking bays – the outlet provides a place to spend a day out shopping especially with its great bargains. Moreover, with its fun features and architecture, it’s fun for the whole family.
“We are absolutely delighted to officially welcome customers to the outlet. We are sure that they will find a visit to the centre a fun experience where there is something for everybody whether for those living in the region or the many tourists who visit Malacca and the A’Famosa Resort – they are all very welcome at the outlet,” said Freeport Retail commercial director Chris Milliken (pix).
Currently, phase one, which was recently launched, carries brands that cover fashion, sports, beauty, optical, shoes, bags and luggage, children’s products, F&B and others (see store info).
Phase two is scheduled to open next year and will see an addition of more than 40 retail stores.
Freeport A’Famosa Outlet is located near the Alor Gajah toll along the North-South Expressway. The outlet is a joint-venture between UK-based outlet specialist Freeport Retail Ltd and A’Famosa Resort. Although the “brand” originates from the US, Freeport is present in Europe and expanding into the Southeast Asian region.
