Early voting in Sarawak election over at 5pm

KUCHING: Early voting in the 11th Sarawak state election ended at 5pm today.
A total of 24,604 early voters, consisting of police and military personnel and their spouses, were eligible to cast their ballots at 79 polling centres.
Thirty-three of the 79 voting centres closed at 2pm and the rest at 5pm.
As at 4pm, the voter turnout was 71%.
Counting of these ballots will start at 4pm on polling day (May 7).
It will be done at the vote tallying centres in the presence of polling agents of the respective candidates. — Bernama
