Vivian Lee to learn fate on May 27

KUALA LUMPUR: Vivian Lee (pix) - the ex-girlfriend of controversial sex blogger, Alvin Tan will know her fate on May 27 over charges related to the "bak kut teh" posting on their Facebook account.
Sessions Court Judge Abdul Rashid Daud set the date following submissions from DPP Wan Shaharuddin Wan Ladin and defence counsel, Chong Joo Tian today.
Lee had on Tuesday testified that Tan had posted the picture on July 11, 2013 without her knowledge which made her upset, unhappy and angry, leading to a "big fight" over the posting.
Tan or Tan Jye Yee and Lee or Lee May Ling were charged under the Sedition Act 1948 for uploading a picture with a caption, "Selamat Berbuka Puasa. (with Bak Kut Teh ... fragrant, delicious and appetising)" on their Facebook page which had insulted Muslims during Ramadan.
The former couple were initially jointly charged on July 18, 2013, but Tan later jumped bail and is believed to be in the United States.
