KUALA LUMPUR: Taman Tun Dr Ismail residents have yet to receive a public hearing date from City Hall on the proposed development at Taman Rimba Kiara.
"No, we have not received a letter for the public hearing yet. We will continue to wait until they (City Hall) replies to us," its residential association chairman Abdul Hafiz Abu Bakar (pix) said when contacted today.
When asked on the residents' next move, he said, "We will have a picnic at the park on Aug 21.
"We hope with this move, it will highlight the seriousness on the matter."
In June, a total 5,600 signatures and an objection letter have been submitted to City Hall after a first peaceful protest rally was held at the proposed site.
They had protested on the proposed development of service apartments to be built on the 4.9ha land.
Mayor Datuk Seri Mhd Amin Nordin Abdul Aziz had reportedly said the development does not involve the gazetted park.
