AmBank expects to launch Amanah Saham Bumiputera fund next month

KUALA LUMPUR: Ambank Group expects to launch Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB) fund within next month.
Speaking to reporters at its official launch as an authorised distributor of Amanah Hartanah Bumiputera (AHB) fund by Pelaburan Hartanah Bhd today, Ambank Group CEO Datuk Sulaiman Mohd Tahir said the bank has completed its discussion with Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB), which currently manages the unit trust scheme ASB.
"We expect to launch it (the ASB fund) sometime in September. Now we are working on the systems and processes, in terms of how we will launch it and what are the products available for the customers."
"As you know, ASB invests in the stock market, whereas AHB is a chance (for investors) to invest in property. So it is depending on what the customers (needs), either they want ASB, or AHB investment," Sulaiman added.
