Flash flood cause massive jam on LDP

PETALING JAYA: A peak hour heavy downpour today evening saw motorists caught in a gridlock at Km21.4 of the Damansara–Puchong Expressway (LDP) near the IOI Mall, Puchong Jaya.
The massive jam was triggered by flash floods which caught road users off guard and left some sections of the stretch temporarily blocked by flood waters.
A Puchong Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said the flood waters rose up to 0.6 metres between 4pm and 5pm due to the heavy downpour.
He said the flood lasted about an hour and receded at 5pm when the rain eventually stopped.
